Learn Beekeeping for yourself

If you’ve been wanting to learn beekeeping here in Central Texas, we’d love to have you out at our farm. We offer beekeeping classes with our six-month beekeeping internship where you’ll get plenty of hands-on learning, not just sitting in a class but actually working the hives. Our focus is natural beekeeping, and you’ll see firsthand how we care for the bees season by season. Maybe you’re just looking for a shorter beekeeping workshop, or maybe you want to jump all in with an internship — either way, you’ll be learning right alongside us here on the farm. From building confidence in the bee yard to harvesting honey, our beekeeping workshops are meant to give you the kind of practical knowledge that sticks.

Learn Beekeeping Through Our Six-Month Internship

Experience Hands-On Beekeeping Classes in Central Texas

Our beekeeping classes in Central Texas give you practical, hands-on experience with hives.
The six-month internship runs from February through July with a bonus honey harvesting class in August. During this time, you walk through an entire bee season.
You will gain skills you can apply at home while learning alongside experienced beekeepers.
Whether you are a beginner or already keep bees, our program meets you where you are.

What You Will Gain from Our Beekeeping Classes

By the end of the internship, you will be ready and equipped to have your own hive on your property.
We offer flexible packages. You can use your existing equipment or receive full gear and even your own starter hive (Nuc) from us. We partner with a local beekeeping business Raw-Bees to give you a high quality package of equipment and bees if you choose to purchase the bundle package.
Additionally, the program combines workshops, farm-based training, and ongoing support.
You will join the Respite Bee Farm community, where students and local beekeepers share advice and encouragement in the months and years following the internship.
This connection continues long after the class ends, helping you grow as a beekeeper.

Natural Beekeeping and Regenerative Practices

At Respite Bee Farm, we teach natural and regenerative beekeeping practices.
You will learn to work with the bees instead of against them, helping hives thrive naturally.
Furthermore, this approach improves soil health and supports stronger pollination on your property.
Our classes encourage stewardship and respect for creation, guided by the belief that every bee matters.
As Psalm 24:1 reminds us, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
We help you care for bees in a way that honors God and their natural design.
